Hi I started taking Accutane 2 weeks ago and I wanted to share my journey with other people who may be suffering from ace. I am 26yrs old and I have had acne since I was about 13. I have tried every topical medecine (prescription and over the counter) and have had no luck. For someone my age enough is enough. I always have pimples on my chin sometimes cysts, blackheads covering my nose and it just is not fair.
I statrted taking Accutane about 2 weeks ago an I can already see results. It has brought out a few pimples more than I normally have – they seem to heal faster than I am used to. My nose is like new… it seems like all of the blackheads are just about gone and the pores on my nose have diminished. My lips are drier than ever. I am trying different chapsticks all day long. I think vaseline is the best for my lips. My doc said i can only use oil free mosturizer on my face because she did not want me to use anything that could clog my pores. – so I am using Nutrogena Oil Free Moist. withouut sunscreen. I use a Aveeno SPF 70 face suncreen which is a little pasty and drying. I can not wait to have clear skin… how long will this take?????
